Board & Train
This program was created for those owners who do not have the time, energy, or desire to train their own dog in a group class or private lessons. In this program, dogs are brought to our building, at 5547 Dyer Steet, to train. Our Board & Train program is based on a recommended TWO WEEKS OF TRAINING.
Dogs who are enrolled in our Board & Train program stay overnight with us.
The dogs are worked on all of the basic obedience commands needed for a pleasant, family companion; with special attention given to the following: attention to name, sit, down, stay, come when called, and walk on a loose leash. We also correct jumping, barking, biting, chewing, and any other problems your dog may have.
Park Cities Obedience School has tremendous success in reclaiming dogs with severe behavioral problems, including aggression, seperation anxiety, and extreme shyness or lack of socialization. There is no dog that can't be helped!
Dogs in the Board & Train Program are worked by all of the trainers during the day, and all training is supervised by Phil Marr.
Initially, your dog is worked alone, with very little distraction, until he understands the exercise being taught. As the dog progresses, he is worked with another dog nearby, then another, until he is able to execute all the commands in the presence of multiple distractions such as: dogs, toys, food and people.
Each day new obedience exercises are introduced as the dog grasps those already taught.
