Doesn't YOUR Dog Deserve the Best?

House Training, Potty Training, or How Do I Train My Dog to NOT Go In The House!

Every day we receive calls from desperate people wanting to pay us to house train, potty train, house break (call it what you'd like) their pup/dog.

Folks want to drop their pup off someplace, pay someone, and a week or two later, pick up a puppy that is majically house trained.  Unfortunately, it doesn't work this way.  Dogs and puppies are situational which is defined as:  The combination of circumstances at a given moment.  In other words, if your pet learns to be house trained at one location, this doesn't transfer to another location without some work on your part.

House training is nothing more than constant supervision and consistancy with a schedule.  We are more than happy to assist you with potty training.  The way we do this is through private lessons at your home.  After all, your house is where you want your dog to be house trained, correct?

When you bring your dog to us for our Board & Train 'Boot Camp', we will train your dog to be comfortable and happy in a crate.  Crating is the cornerstone of house training.

We will also get your dog on a strict schedule of eating, drinking and going outside.  IF you follow this same schedule, with the same dedication, once you get your dog home, you will have a potty trained dog.  HOWEVER, you cannot bring a puppy or dog into your home, give him/her instant freedom and then become upset when you step in a pile of dog poop in your bare feet during the middle of the night.

So please, if someone tells you they can take your pup/dog and house train him/her, RUN don't walk away!  This MUST be done in your home, where your dog lives.  You may as well flush your hard earned money down the toilet.

Give us a call, we'll be happy to fax or email you our comprehensive booklet on how to crate train and house train your dog.  We will also have a trainer contact you, set up a lesson and come to your house to help you in person.
